On Sunday, we were happy to help my niece, Saylor, celebrate her first
birthday. We love her so much and Ryan loves playing with her. He had a
hard time letting her open her presents without "help" but as soon as he
saw the "dessert" table, all attention shifted to that. He said, "This
is the best birfday party ever! These are all my favorite foods!" He
licked all the frosting off a cupcake, enjoyed some peanut butter
"lemma-lems" and loved the "jelly beans that are like snakes" a/k/a Mike
& Ike's. He was pretty sugared up by the time we left, but that's
what birthdays are for, right?
