Ryan had his 15 month checkup on Thursday so we have new stats to record! He loved standing on the scale like a big boy and weighed in at a healthy 28 lbs. 7 oz. This puts him in the 95th percentile. We had to measure twice but determined his height to be 32" which puts him in the 75th percentile. This is the first time he's broken the 50% mark on height and we're happy he's shooting up a bit, given his enthusiasm for basketball.
He did pretty great in his checkup and especially loved running around in just his diaper while we waited for the doctor. I've determined the exam room, with all it's cords, lamps and unprotected plug-ins, is not exactly baby-friendly, but I finally resorted to letting him tear the paper off the exam table. He smiled and giggled and was generally cooperative during the exam and most everything checked out fine. His left ear looked like it was either infected or healing from an infection, but we opted to wait it out since he's been acting okay.
After bundling back up to drive less than a block to Community Health for his shots, we unbundled, stuck 2 needles in his thighs, and rebundled to drive 1 block home. I'll be happy when Spring arrives and we can maneuver the stroller through the streets!
We praise God for another healthy report and our growing, happy boy!
