Christmas Cookies 2010


Saturday was the annual Boone Christmas Cookie day. My MIL and FIL had graciously baked all the cookies (106 of them) last weekend and brought them over to frost. As much as I love the look of neatly flooded cookies, there's just no substitute for this Christmas cookie frosting recipe:

Frosting for Christmas Cookies
1/2 c. butter at room temp
1/2 c. Crisco (use name brand)
4 c. powdered sugar
2 T. milk
1/2 tsp almond flavoring
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
 Below is a full shot of the cookies that made it to the end of the frosting process without getting eaten.
