Happy Birthday, Adam!

Saturday was Adam's birthday. Ryan was so excited to help make Daddy's birthday cake on Thursday night. It was an epic process, especially since I took a few hours out to go see Saylor (see Thursday's post) and also dropped some stuff off at Adam's parents' new house. Let's just say it was midnight and we were still washing dishes from the remnants of a peanut butter cake, two devil's food cakes and a gigantic batch of fluffy chocolate frosting.

Ever since he saw the N-dub schedule, Adam said for his birthday he wanted to grill out and then go to the football game. So, that's what we did! We had over a dozen people from school over to tailgate before the game. (It's still called tailgating if you can see the field lights from your deck, right?)  The football game was standing-room only and didn't turn out in our favor, but it was still a fun night getting to know a few more families.

Happy Birthday, Adam!
